U.K. Exec's Extradition Stayed In Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (June 08, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Former Morgan Crucible CEO Ian Norris has fought tooth and nail to avoid extradition to the United States on price-fixing charges, and now his efforts have finally paid off. On Thursday, the U.K.’s highest court agreed to stay the extradition and hear Norris’ case.

Norris’ lawyers persuaded the House of Lords that the case raises issues that concern general public importance, a standard that must be met in order for the court to agree to hear a case.
