Davis Polk Adds FTC Antitrust Maven In DC

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 12:39 PM ET) -- Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP said Thursday it would bring on a Federal Trade Commission official and law professor to its office in the nation's capital, as part of a strategy to deepen its antitrust and regulatory capabilities.

Howard A. Shelanski, the deputy director of the FTC's Bureau of Economics, joined as counsel at Davis Polk's Washington office, where he will split his time between the firm and a teaching post at the Georgetown University Law Center.
