No Bail For Ex-Terra VP Convicted Of Bribery

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 6:47 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge ruled Monday that a former Terra Telecommunications Corp. executive who was sentenced to seven years in prison for allegedly bribing officials of a Haitian state-owned company would not be freed on bail pending appeal.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert L. Dube denied a bail request from former Terra Executive Vice President Carlos Rodriguez, who argued that his August conviction was likely to be overturned on appeal.
