Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 3:22 PM ET) -- French spirits maker Compagnie Financiere Europeenne de Prise de Participation SA has a conditional green light to go ahead with its proposed takeover of rum maker Quartier Francais Spiritueux from Tereos Group, France's antitrust regulator said Tuesday.
The deal is contingent on Cofepp selling off QFS' assets in overseas territories Martinique and Reunion in order to avoid giving the new company a monopoly, France's Autorite de la Concurrence said in a statement.
