Sens. Press FTC To Look Into Google's Search Tactics

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 4:07 PM ET) -- The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday urged the Federal Trade Commission to open an antitrust investigation into Google Inc. over allegations that the search engine giant's results are biased in favor of its own secondary products and services.

Rather than acting as an “honest broker” of unbiased search engine results, Google’s search results appear to favor its own products and services, according to a letter from committee members addressed to FTC Chairman Jonathan D. Leibowitz.
