Law360, New York (February 03, 2012, 9:47 PM ET) -- President Barack Obama will nominate the chair of Arnold & Porter LLP's antitrust practice group to an assistant attorney general post in charge of the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, the White House said Friday.
Bill Baer joined Arnold & Porter in 1980 and became a partner at the firm in 1983, according to the announcement. Throughout his career, he has represented a broad range of companies in cartel investigations and reviews of mergers and acquisitions both domestic and foreign.
