Law360, New York (February 22, 2012, 5:14 PM ET) -- Spain's competition authority on Wednesday slapped Endesa SA, one of the country’s largest power utilities, with €23 million ($30 million) in fines for allegedly abusing its dominant market position in the electricity sector.

The National Competition Commission, or CNC, found that Endesa violated the country’s competition laws by misusing privileged information it had access to as an electricity provider to expand its activities in the electrical installation market.
