Law360, New York (April 09, 2012, 3:32 PM ET) -- After a seven-week trial, a Southern California jury on Friday rejected antitrust allegations from a spine surgeon who accused a hospital of conspiring to prevent all but a select few doctors from performing emergency operations on its premises.
Surgeon Alan Moelleken brought the complaint against Santa Barbara’s Cottage Health System and four doctors he said had teamed up to increase their business at the expense of patients and competing physicians.
