Law360, New York (August 28, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The widening antitrust scandal at German engineering company Siemens AG has crossed the Atlantic, with German prosecutors agreeing to meet with regulators from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The U.S. officials arrived in Munich on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing investigation into allegations that Siemens executives paid kickbacks to ensure the company's presence in various overseas projects, according to senior public prosecutor Christian Schmidt-Sommerfeld.
