Law360, New York (May 02, 2012, 3:56 PM ET) -- DS Smith PLC has proposed concessions to Europe's antitrust authority, which is reviewing the company's proposed €1.7 billion ($2.2 billion) purchase of Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget's packaging unit, the regulator said Wednesday.
With the company's commitments, which were offered April 30, the European Commission's deadline to complete the review is pushed back to May 25, according to the commission. Neither the commission nor the companies provided any further details on the proposed remedies.
