Law360, New York (May 07, 2012, 5:31 PM ET) -- Sen. Al Franken on Monday urged the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Communications Commission to look into whether Comcast Corp. broke promises it made last year to get government approval for its blockbuster acquisition of NBCUniversal Inc.
The Minnesota Democrat — a frequent and outspoken critic of media conglomeration — praised the FCC's ruling last week that Comcast had tried to stifle competition by isolating Bloomberg LP's news network in channel listings, but said the action took far too long.
