Spain's Antitrust Watchdog Eyes Elevator Repair Industry

Law360, New York (May 08, 2012, 8:47 PM ET) -- Spain's antitrust authority has launched an investigation into whether Schindler SA, Zardoya Otis SA and other companies have been stifling competition in the elevator maintenance and repair market, the competition watchdog said Monday.

The Spanish National Competition Commission, known as the CNC, said it had opened infringement proceedings against Schindler, Zardoya Otis, Ascensores Eninter SL, Ascensores Imem SL and Industrial Elevacion SA for possible anti-competitive conduct.
