Law360, New York (May 21, 2012, 8:20 PM ET) -- Despite early fears of a filibuster, the U.S. Senate agreed Monday to move forward with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration user fee bill and will begin considering amendments on Tuesday, including a controversial measure aimed at ending “pay for delay” agreements.
The Senate will begin debating proposed amendments Tuesday, and leaders said Monday that they hope to hold a final vote by the end of the week. Supporters from both parties urged their colleagues not to bog down the legislation with unrelated or controversial amendments....
