Law360, New York (September 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Irish airline Ryanair has formally appealed the European Commission's decision to block the carrier's takeover of rival company AerLingus, accusing regulators of allowing politics to influence their actions.
Ryanair said Monday that it had filed an appeal with the European Court of First Instance, asking Europe's second-highest court to overturn a July decision that barred Ryanair's proposed €1.48 billion takeover.
