FTC Opposition To Import Bans Plays Murky Role In IP Debate

Law360, New York (June 07, 2012, 10:43 PM ET) -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has come out against Google Inc.'s attempts to block imports of the Xbox and iPhone, putting the FTC at the center of a high-stakes debate over the potential anti-competitive effects of injunctions involving standard-essential patents, though attorneys say it's unclear whether the courts will adopt the agency's view.
