EU Fines Reflex, Flamco €13M In Settled Cartel Probe

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 5:50 PM ET) -- The European Commission has imposed a pared-down €13.67 million ($17 million) in fines over an alleged price-fixing scheme involving Reflex Winkelmann GmbH & Co. KG and Flamco GmbH after the companies agreed to settle, the EC said Wednesday.

Flamco, Reflex and a company called Pneumatex operated a cartel on the German market from June 2006 through May 2008, and for three months in 2006, Reflex and Pneumatex expanded their anti-competitive behavior to 13 other European Union states, the EC said.
