Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 4:20 PM ET) -- The Federal Trade Commission said Friday that a group of investors including Sony Corp. can go through with its plan to purchase EMI Group Ltd.'s music publishing arm for $2.2 billion from Citigroup Inc.
In a 5-0 vote, the FTC's commissioners agreed to close the watchdog's antitrust investigation into the proposed acquisition, according to a short statement put out by the FTC.
