Law360, New York (August 13, 2012, 12:32 PM ET) -- India's competition watchdog has launched an investigation into allegations that Google Inc. violated the country’s antitrust regulations, in response to a consumer advocacy group's complaint, an Indian official said Monday.
Kunwar Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh, minister of state for corporate affairs, said in a statement that the Competition Commission of India had begun a probe over Google's alleged anti-competitive policies.
