DOJ Web Site Advocates Real-Estate Competition

Law360, New York (October 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Recent concerns over antitrust issues in the real estate market have prompted the U.S. Department of Justice to launch a new Web site to inform consumers about the benefits of eliminating barriers to competition in the industry.

Launched on Oct. 10, the Web site is meant to “educate consumers and policymakers about the potential benefits that competition can bring to consumers of real estate brokerage services and the barriers that inhibit that competition,” the DOJ said.
