Toshiba Settles With LCD Direct Buyers After $87M Verdict

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 5:26 PM ET) -- Toshiba Corp. has reached a settlement with a class of liquid crystal display buyers after getting hit with an $87 million price-fixing verdict in the long-running antitrust case, the parties said Wednesday.

The direct purchaser plaintiffs said in a letter to the court that they had reached an agreement in principle with Toshiba and several affiliates to settle the dispute almost two months after a jury concluded that the company had participated in the international LCD cartel.
