German Court Preserves Cover For Cartel Cos. Seeking Leniency

Law360, New York (August 30, 2012, 6:44 PM ET) -- A German appeals court recently ruled that would-be antitrust plaintiffs can't access leniency documents that alleged cartel members lodge with the country's competition watchdog, a decision that offers companies the certainty of confidentiality in Germany despite a European Union court decision that opened the door to disclosure.
