Law360, New York (October 04, 2012, 1:20 PM ET) -- A group of electronics makers, including Sony Corp. and Panasonic Corp., were sued Wednesday in California federal court by a proposed class of consumers who claim the companies conspired to fix prices on lithium ion batteries.
The putative indirect purchaser class, led by plaintiffs Kevin Young, Bradley Seldin and Bruce Sterman, claim they bought electronics containing rechargeable lithium ion batteries at artificially high prices, after several electronics companies colluded to set and maintain the prices of the batteries.
