Law360, New York (October 19, 2012, 4:43 PM ET) -- The government of Spain on Friday sent legislation to the country’s Congress that outlined a plan to overhaul the Spanish antitrust regulation system by combining several industry-specific watchdogs and the existing competition authority into one agency.
The plan, which has been on the agenda for Spain's president and cabinet ministers since the government took power in December, would combine a number of the country's existing regulators to create a new body called the National Markets and Competition Commission.
