Law360, New York (October 22, 2012, 1:57 PM ET) -- Hong Kong-based Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. has offered the European Commission more concessions in its latest bid to make a proposed €1.3 billion ($1.7 billion) acquisition of mobile provider Orange Austria Telecommunication GmbH acceptable to regulators, the EC reported Monday.
The commission's website showed that Hutchison submitted further commitments Friday, after which the antitrust regulator extended the decision deadline in the merger review from Nov. 30 to Dec. 21. The EC didn't offer any details on Hutchison's offer, and a company representative wasn't immediately available for comment...
