Law360, New York (October 25, 2012, 2:49 PM ET) -- Mexico's competition authority on Thursday said it had launched an antitrust investigation into the country's mobile phone market, after receiving a complaint about possible anti-competitive behavior.
The Mexican Federal Competition Commission, or CFC, did not name any possible targets of the investigation or the party that complained, but said the complaint contained enough information to justify a probe into possible "absolute monopolistic practices" in the mobile phone market, according to a notice published in the official diary of Mexico's federal government.
