Industry Advocate Urges FCC To Reject AT&T Tariff

Law360, New York (November 14, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Telecommunications competition advocate COMPTEL has filed a petition with the Federal Communications Commission calling on the agency to quash moves by AT&T to raise access rates in southeastern U.S. states.

Joined in its protest by CompSouth, a group of carriers operating in the states, COMPTEL called on the FCC to reject the tariff request, noting it was contrary to AT&T’s pre-merger commitment not to increase rates before Dec. 29, 2010.
