Law360, New York (February 15, 2013, 7:18 PM ET) -- Oregon lawmakers introduced a measure Tuesday to repeal an antitrust exemption for coordinated care organizations created to reform the state's Medicaid system by integrating physical, mental and dental care coverage.
State Sens. Chip Shields, D-Portland, and Larry George, R-Sherwood, proposed legislation that would eliminate both state and federal state action immunity for the coordinated care organizations.
The lawmakers did not offer an explanation for why they wanted to revoke the antitrust exemption, and they were not immediately available for comment Friday.
