Law360, New York (December 05, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin stood behind his plan to change a 32-year-old ban on media cross-ownership before a congressional subcommittee Wednesday.
In prepared remarks before the House subcommittee on telecommunications and the Internet, Martin argued that allowing cross-ownership would bolster local news coverage by helping companies share costs across many different media.
