Law360, New York (January 22, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- South Korea's antitrust regulator has levied a fine on three subsidiaries of LG Group Co., slapping the companies with a 691 million won fine for using illegal tactics to attract new subscribers.
The Korea Fair Trade Commission said on Sunday that it had fined LG Powercomm Co. and two other LG affiliates a total of 691 million won, approximately $725,000 in U.S. currency, for allegedly forcing employees to seek out new subscribers for the company's high-speed Internet service.
