Second Circuit Reignites Credit Card Arbitration Suit

Law360, New York (April 25, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Cardholders will get a second swipe at credit card issuers over mandatory arbitration clauses in contracts, after a federal appeals court overturned the ruling against the defendants and remanded the case back to the district court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said on Friday that the Manhattan district judge should not have dismissed the antitrust suit for lack of standing in 2006.
