LinkLine Adds Twists To DOJ, FTC Rift Talk

Law360, New York (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission recently announced that it would not join a brief filed by the U.S. Department of Justice urging the Supreme Court to take up a case regarding “price-squeezing,” providing another example of what many consider to be the agencies' different philosophies on antitrust enforcement.

In an unusual move, the FTC issued a statement last month opposing the solicitor general's amicus brief in support of a grant of certiorari in Pacific Bell Telephone Co. v. linkLine Communications Inc.
