Microsoft Offers Olive Branch To Programmers

Law360, New York (March 22, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Microsoft Corp. said it will revise some of its source code documentation and provide free and unlimited technical support to software programmers as part of an effort to resolve an ongoing antitrust dispute with the European Union.

“Although five European computer science professors have already confirmed that our documentation meets or exceeds industry standards, we are committed to doing everything in our power to address the Commission’s concerns,” said Brad Smith, Microsoft Senior Vice President and General Counsel, in a statement.
