Cell Phone Giants Charged Over Dropped Technology

Law360, New York (April 12, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A wireless communications company that developed a patented technology used in mobile communications devices is suing a consortium of cellular phone giants, alleging that they conspired with each other to drop the technology without notice.

The suit, filed this week by New Jersey-based Golden Bridge Technology Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, names Nokia Inc., Motorola Inc., T-Mobile USA Inc., Ericsson Inc., and Panasonic Mobile Communications Co. as defendants.

It also names Qualcomm Inc. and Lucent Technologies Inc., among others....
