Microsoft Subpoenaed In Intel Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (April 17, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Advanced Micro Devices has subpoenaed Microsoft Corp. as part of its antitrust lawsuit against Intel Corp., pulling the software giant into a battle in the microprocessor marketplace that has steadily been heating up in recent months.

The subpoena, issued last Thursday, seeks to compel the release of Microsoft documents dating back to January 2000.

AMD’s subpoena does not require the testimony of any specific person, but it does target a slew of documents related to Microsoft’s development of software for AMD and Intel 64-bit microprocessors....
