Law360, New York (July 25, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a boost to Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group Ltd., an appeals court has ruled that the U.S. government may have to release redacted versions of amnesty agreements entered into by the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division in competition matters since 1993.
The decision, handed down Friday by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, vacated a district court's ruling that the agreements were exempt under several provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
