Law360, New York (May 09, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Two attorneys for Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP—including the co-head of the firm’s antitrust and competition practice—are taking the stand this week in a long-running legal malpractice suit stemming from the firm’s representation of a retail store in an unfair competition suit against Italian fashion company Fendi.
The litigation began in 1991, when Annette and Randi Fischer, owners of Fashion Boutique of Short Hills—which sold Fendi brand merchandise—brought claims against Fendi Stores Inc., a competing Manhattan boutique, and its parent company, Fendi USA Inc.
