Law360, New York (October 08, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A European Union legal adviser has reportedly backed a court decision that tossed Bouygues SA’s complaint alleging France’s move to amend the licensing deals for rival telecommunication companies amounted to illegal state aid.
Court adviser Verica Trstenjak recommended to the European Court of Justice on Wednesday that the lower Court of First Instance correctly ruled against Bouygues in July 2007, according to Dow Jones. The panel of judges for the EU’s highest court will review the adviser’s opinion before issuing a final decision on the appeal....
