Law360, New York (July 28, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Biomet Inc. became the latest orthopedic company to attempt to clear its name Friday, saying the Department of Justice’s current probe into the multi-billion dollar orthopedic industry had been narrowed to one specific incident.
According to the company, the DOJ’s antitrust investigation was prompted by an unsolicited e-mail that Biomet received from a competitor.
