Law360, New York (February 17, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal court in Australia has agreed to the request of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and fined three airlines $16 million for their alleged roles in a global fuel surcharge cartel, the regulator said Monday.
The Federal Court in Sydney ordered Martinair Holland NV and Cargolux International Airlines SA to pay $5 million each for their alleged roles in the price-fixing cartel, ACCC said.
