DOJ Seeks More Info On Ticketmaster-Live Nation Deal

Law360, New York (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and concert promoter Live Nation Inc. said Friday that they had received a request for additional information from the U.S. Department of Justice regarding their $2.5 billion proposed merger.

The two companies said in a statement that the DOJ's second request for information regarding the proposed deal — announced Feb. 10 — was a “standard part of the full regulatory process” under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
