Law360, New York (September 01, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a significant victory for Bristol-Myers Squibb & Co. and Sanofi-Aventis Corp., a federal judge has granted the pharmaceuticals a preliminary injunction, ordering Apotex Corp. to cease selling its generic version of the blood thinner Plavix.
The court also ordered Bristol-Myers and Sanofi to post a $400 million bond to Apotex to provide security in the event that the court later concludes that the injunction should not have been issued.
