2nd Circ. Upholds Drop Of Injunction In L'Oreal Suit

Law360, New York (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a battle between L'Oreal USA Inc. and hair care product distributor Quality King Distributors Inc., a federal appeals court has largely upheld a lower court decision to remove a nearly 20-year-old permanent injunction blocking the distributor from buying or selling L'Oreal's Matrix line of professional products.

In a decision issued Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit held that the lower court had not erred in its decision to vacate the injunction, but said a remand was necessary to consider L'Oreal's evidence...
