Law360, New York (June 01, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The federal government plans to push the start date of a final rule requiring federal contractors to certify workers' immigration status through E-Verify from June 30 to Sept. 8, according to a U.S. court filing in a lawsuit fighting the regulation.
In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Maryland on Friday, the government moved to stay the litigation brought by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for 70 days so the Obama administration can review the rule.
