Bank Of America Calls Truce With Ex-Merrill Chief

Law360, New York (October 01, 2009, 5:51 PM ET) -- After trying to batten down the hatches, Bank of America Corp. now appears ready to let former Merrill Lynch & Co. brokerage chief Robert McCann depart for his new home, rumored to be Swiss rival UBS AG.

On Thursday the two sides announced that they had reached a resolution of a New York State Supreme Court case McCann brought this summer as he sought to wriggle out of a noncompetition agreement to take a new job with a competitor.
