GOP, 2 Dems Block Obama NLRB Nominee

Law360, New York (February 09, 2010, 5:56 PM ET) -- Senate Republicans on Tuesday scuttled President Barack Obama's choice for the National Relations Labor Board after two Democrats crossed the aisle to vote with the GOP.

By a 52-33 vote, the Senate blocked nominee Craig Becker, who had drawn fire in part because of his position as associate general counsel for both the AFL-CIO and the Service Employees International Union.
