Senators Hash Out Effects Of Paycheck Fairness Act

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 8:26 PM ET) -- As U.S. lawmakers revisit the Paycheck Fairness Act as a way to close the gender gap in pay disparity, Jackson Lewis LLP partner Jane McFetridge warned Thursday that the measure could lead to a spike in litigation that will hit businesses hard.

“In the midst of this financial crisis, we should be encouraging small business to expand, not making it more difficult for them to operate and survive,” McFetridge told members of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
