3rd Circ. Revives Carpenter Bennett Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (March 12, 2010, 3:31 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has revived a legal malpractice claim against Carpenter Bennett & Morrissey over the firm's representation of alleged victims in a sexual harassment case against a one-time Rutgers University professor.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit issued an opinion Thursday vacating a district court order and remanding the matter for further proceedings. The appeals court reversed CBM's summary judgment win on malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
