Law360, New York (January 11, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has greenlighted class action status in a gender discrimination case against Costco Wholesale Corp. that accuses the company of denying the promotion of hundreds of women employees to senior staff or management positions.
U.S. Judge Marilyn Hall Patel elevated the plaintiffs’ position Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in a suit that could include as many as 700 women alleging gender discrimination since January 2002.
