Law360, New York (September 28, 2010, 1:08 PM ET) -- Experts testifying before a U.S. House of Representatives committee Tuesday made competing arguments about whether the Paycheck Fairness Act would close the gender pay gap that, a new Government Accountability Office study says, persists across all industries and skill levels.
The report, released Tuesday, found that through 2007, the pay gap between women and men working full-time had closed only slightly since 2000, and had not budged at all for mothers in management positions.
