2nd Circ. Affirms Toss Of White Prof's Race Bias Suit

Law360, New York (February 25, 2011, 8:11 PM ET) -- The Second Circuit on Friday affirmed the dismissal of a Rochester, N.Y., community college professor's lawsuit alleging he was denied tenure for being a Caucasian male with conservative political beliefs.

In a summary order, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upheld a lower courts grant of summary judgment to Monroe Community College on political science professor Michael Filozof's racial discrimination claims.
